Notification go Llanfyllin Patients Participation Group meeting in a Llanrhaeadr Hall on Weds 23 Sept at 7 pm. This will address the issues of the proposed changes at Shrewsbury & Telford hospitals.

John Jones will accept an invitation to attend a buffet at the National Eisteddfod at Meifod on Monday August 3.

The clerk read a letter she had received from a Cheshire resident deploring the state of the village with weeds left unattended. He expressed surprise that the villagers were taking such little pride in their surroundings.

Notice was given of a planning meeting in Llandrindod Wells on August 4.

Letter of thanks had been sent to the relatives of Eira Richards for their donation to the upkeep of the churchyards.

A letter had been received from David Rabbetts expressing thanks to the people of Llangynog for the presentation on July 11.

The hand over of the public toilets is to take place on Weds July 22 when Andrew Carpenter will read the meters and explain the systems to members if the Community Council. Surprise was expressed that no Council official would be present as there were still some outstanding issues. Alastair Knox is to be contacted concerning the grant payment and the rates payable. Cleaners will be invited to attend. An ammunitions safe is to be purchased and adapted as an honesty box. Thanks were expressed to Janet Burton for producing laminated notices and a small gift to be given.

Public Health Wales have decreed that all council owned playing fields are to be smoke free. A competition to produce no smoking signs has been run and the signs will be available shortly.

Contacts to manage waste recycling centres in Welshpool & Newtown have been awarded to Potters Waste Management.

P.C.C has said all councils should have a generic email address. The clerk is to seek advice.

The Mill footpath is in need if attention, Mark Chapman to be contacted.

Road verges are also overgrown. Clerk will contact P.C.C.

In view of the toilet take over an extra meeting will be convened in August.
